Passengers arriving in Estonia
Tallinn Airport has opened a corona virus testing facility for air passengers arriving from destinations, listed as risk countries by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia.
Those entering Estonia can choose between two tests to detect the coronavirus:
- PCR test - the test is free of charge for Estonian residents; for foreign nationals the test at the Tallinn Airport costs €61.
- Antigen rapid test - the test is free of charge for Estonian residents; for foreign nationals the test at the Tallinn Airport costs €30. In the case of a positive antigen rapid test result, an additional PCR test can be taken using a method that enables to confirm or refute fast the test result. The confirming PCR test is free for all and its result will be available within 48 hours.
The testing facility for arrivals is open pursuant to the flight schedule every day starting from the first arriving flight until the last arriving flight. Testing is based in order of arrival; it is not possible to reserve a number beforehand at the testing point.
The testing facility of arrivals is located on the ground floor of the passenger terminal in the central part of the open area. Arriving passengers are kindly requested to take their checked baggage with them from the baggage hall before proceeding to the testing facility.
The possibility of testing the arriving passengers is offered at the Tallinn Airport by Medicum.
Passengers leaving Estonia
Passengers leaving Estonia can take a rapid coronavirus antigen test at the airport before going on a trip. The results of the rapid test, together with the certificate required for travel, will be sent to the passenger’s personal e-mail within 30 minutes after the test. The cost of the test is €49.
Testing facility of the rapid antigen test is open Mon—Sat 09.00–18.00, Sun 09.00–21.00. To take the test book a time on the webpage of Confido Medical Centre via the digital booking system. Passengers will not be served at the testing facility without pre-booking.
