Tallinn Airport pax up 3% in March
148 thousand passengers passed through Tallinn Airport in March, a moderate growth of 3% compared to March last year. The growth resulted mainly from charter flights. The amount of available seats on scheduled flights increased by 8% but passenger demand remained largely unchanged. The average load factor on scheduled flights was 63%.
In March Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica started services from Vilnius. Combined with Estonian Air flights there are now up to four daily connections between Tallinn and Vilnius. From the start of summer season Lufthansa has added the third daily connection from Frankfurt, Turkish Airlines doubled frequencies from Istanbul as well as LOT Polish Airlines added flights from Warsaw.
