According to a survey which was conducted by the international travel portal, Sleeping in Airports, passengers consider Tallinn Airport to be the nicest airport in Europe after Helsinki and Munich; globally, Tallinn came ninth.
Piret Mürk-Dubout, chairwoman of the board of Tallinn Airport, is extremely grateful to the passengers for the positive feedback. ‘The airport has had a remarkable year, both from the perspective of the construction work as well as rearrangements due to the presidency, but the dedicated team at Tallinn Airport has been able to offer passengers some rather positive surprises, which yet again have taken us to the top of the list of the best airports,’ Mürk-Dubout noted.
Based on the feedback that had been received via the portal, passengers above all value the cosiness and resourcefulness of Tallinn Airport. The airport received more comments from passengers than any other airport in Europe, with the unique security announcements, the arrival gates which introduce Estonia itself, and the opportunity to make sandwiches after the last flight has landed and the cafes have closed, among other things, being highlighted as positive features. According to the review which was drawn up by the portal, those passengers who were waiting for their flights felt as if they were in their own living rooms, and not at an airport.
Sleeping in Airports is a travel portal which was launched in 1996, and which is collecting customer feedback about the airports on a worldwide basis.
