More than 208 thousand passengers passed through Tallinn Airport in August, up 4% on month.
The source of increase is in improved flight frequencies: new carriers TAP Portugal, Vueling and Air Lituanica as well as Turkish Airlines, LOT etc have contributed to growth. The average load factor was 74%, while passengers could choose between 30 scheduled destinations. The most popular leisure destinations were the resorts in Turkey, Bulgaria, Spain and Greece, the furthest flight was Japan Airlines’ incoming charter from Osaka.
At Kuressaare Airport an international skydiving training and competition camp Parasummer was held, during which also the first wingsuit flying competition in Estonia took place. In total almost 2300 jumps were made during the event.
