Tallinn Airport serviced almost 160,000 passengers in November, with the total number of travellers growing by 9.8% year on year.
Marketing Director Eero Pärgmäe says November was the fastest-growing month in almost a year and a half. “One of the reasons for this upturn is the low level we have to compare it with from last November,” he explained. “This November airlines offered 16% more seats on regular flights. But the good news is that if this growth continues, we could well set a new record for the total number of passengers serviced during the year as a whole.”
The greatest growth in passenger numbers was on the Munich, Vilnius, Stockholm and Milan routes, but there was also strong demand for flights to Amsterdam, Warsaw, Brussels and Vienna.
The average seat occupancy rate on flights in November was 62%. During the winter season there are direct flights from Tallinn to 21 destinations.
