Tram no. 4 will be out of operation from 17 April-31 May 2023. During this time we recommend using the buses that serve the airport instead.
The airport’s bus stops are located at the northern (i.e. city) end of the passenger terminal, from which an escalator or elevator and walkway will bring you to the Arrivals area. The exception is the stop for bus no. 2, which is on Tartu Highway, around 100 metres’ walk from the airport.
- Two buses run from the city centre to the airport: no. 2 (stopping on Tartu Highway) and 15 (stopping at the terminal). The ride to the airport is around 20 minutes. You can take a look at the schedule for bus no. 15 HERE.
- The schedule for bus no. 2 is available HERE.
- Bus no. 49 runs between Viimsi and the airport. Its schedule can be found HERE.
- Bus no. 65 connects Lasnamäe to the airport. The schedule for this route is available HERE.
Both the Ühiskaart (Tallinn’s public transport card) and single tickets can be used on city buses. Tickets for single trips (€2) can be purchased by tapping a contactless bank card against the validator inside the front door of the bus.
Hourly and daily tickets are also available but require an Ühiskaart. Use of public transport is free for registered residents of Tallinn. More detailed information about tickets can be found HERE.
Some long-distance buses arriving in Tallinn via Tartu Highway also stop at the airport. However, not all buses do so, even upon request – so make sure you choose one that does stop at the airport and notify the driver when entering the bus that you wish to stop there. More information about bus routes and stops is available HERE.
