In April, over 200 thousand passengers passed through Tallinn Airport, which is 13 per cent more than during the same period last year. During the first four months of the year, the number of passengers at Tallinn Airport has increased by almost 100 thousand, up to 700 thousand passengers.
According to Eero Pärgmäe, the Director of Marketing of Tallinn Airport, the airport will keep the number of passengers at the record level also this year. “In April, the average percentage of filled seats on flights increased to 69 per cent, and the two largest carriers Nordica and airBaltic keep growing well,” Pärgmäe stated. The number of seats offered at regular flights has increased by 9 per cent, the number of passengers has mainly remained stable or increased on the main routes.
The interest of holiday travellers in flights to Egypt is increasing, a record number of passengers in the past five years wished to take charter flights to the resorts there. In total, regular flights were offered to 28 destinations, Nordica started seasonal flights to Nice in France and Split in Croatia. Several seasonal summer lines will also be opened in May.
