Two-millionth passenger of 2014 is Alexander Saar
The passenger number of Tallinn Airport exceeded the two million mark. Another million was reached on 29 December at 13:45 when Alexander Saar (7 months old) travelling from London with his parents came through the aiport luggage area.
Flights in November
More than 148 thousand passengers passed through Tallinn Airport in November, that was 9% more than in November last year. Year-to-date increase was 2,5%, assuming that the trend continues, 2 million passengers are expected by the end of the year.
Lufthansa pilots strike
The pilots union Vereinigung Cockpit has announced a strike for all Lufthansa short-haul and continental flights departing between 12.00 CEST on December 1st to 23.59 CEST on December 2nd, and for all intercontinental flights departing between 03:00 CEST to 23:59 CEST on December 2nd.
AEGEAN launches new route from Tallinn to Athens summer 2015
AEGEAN Airlines new route from Athens to Tallinn Airport will firstly land on 20th June 2015. The seasonal route will operate once per week, on Saturdays.
easyJet 10 years in Tallinn
Today, ten years ago, the first easyJet flight landed in Tallinn, which arrived from Berlin at the time. That same year, in the last days of October, the British low-cost airline also launched direct flights to London Stansted Airport.

The pilots union Vereinigung Cockpit has announced a strike for all Lufthansa flights operated by the aircraft types A320, Boeing 737, and Embraer departing between 13.00 CEST on October 20th to 23.59 CEST on October 21st.
Passenger numbers up by 2,6%
More than 195 thousand passengers passed through Tallinn Airport in September, that was 2,6% more than in September last year. The growth was backed by slightly increased number of flights.
