1. Information for passengers who have medical implants, e.g. steel joints, pacemakers, etc.
Passengers who have a medical implant must notify airport security shortly before going through the security control. This is especially important for people who use pacemakers. Further instructions are provided by airport security. Passengers with metal implants, pacemakers or some other medical implements do not have to obtain a special permit to enter the airplane. If the implant sets off the walk-through metal detector in the airport security, the passenger will be additionally checked with a small hand-held security wand.
2. Where can I get information about airfares?
Information about airfares is available at airlines and travel agencies. Tallinn Airport does not have nor distribute such information.

All passengers who use international air transport are required to present a valid personal identification certificate (ID card or passport) both when checking in for the flight and when boarding the plane. Since May 1st, 2006 a similar requirement was introduced for domestic flights.
Whether you need a visa to enter your country of destination can be checked from the consular department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (see http://www.vm.ee/). This can also be checked from the airline or when purchasing a ticket from the travel agency.

All children traveling by air must have a passport. According to the Estonian laws, no additional documents (power of attorney) are required for crossing a state border. However, additional documents may be required by the border guard service of some other country. We recommend you to contact the embassy of the country of destination well before departure to ask about the requirements for documents (see www.vm.ee).

9. When does check-in start and end? Can you check in for a flight in the previous day and online?
Check-in in the Tallinn Airport is completed generally 40 minutes before the departure time depending on whether it is a domestic or international flight and on the airline in question. For more detailed information please contact your airline representative.
Since airlines offer various options for early check-in, we recommend that you contact your airline or travel agent before you arrive in the airport and discuss the necessary details.
Depending on the airline, customers can check in online between 30 hours and one hour before the departure, choose a seat and check in either with luggage or without. Airlines generally enable customers to print out an A4 format boarding pass. This means that when you arrive in the airport you will not have to do a new check-in. If you wish to check in your luggage you can do it at the drop-off desk.
10. What is the procedure for prams and wheelchairs?
Generally, a pram is regarded luggage and must be handed over in check-in. There are special pushchairs for children at the passenger terminal of Tallinn Airport. Some flights allow passengers to use their own prams or pushchairs until the boarding gate, but it must be always agreed in advance at the check-in desk and is subject to permission.
Passengers with a disability who use a wheelchair can use designated points for arrival and departure in the Tallinn Airport:
• In the terminal, by the information desk which has a telephone with short dial 8288
• In the terminal’s main floor in specially designated points
At the designated points of arrival and departure, passengers with a disability can inform the airport of their arrival at the airport and request help, if required. If a wheelchair is required, please call at +372 605 8288 (available 24/7).
Helpful hint! If you use a battery-operated wheelchair please make sure that your batteries are full and in good operating condition. You must be capable to give instructions, if necessary, on how to disassemble or assemble the wheelchair, if necessary for the transport of the wheelchair. Since airlines have different rules on the weight of wheelchairs that are accepted on board, we recommend that you check it with your airline well in advance.
